I discovered this on my step-daughter's blog. She is 18 and a college freshman at a Christian College.
My husband is not the custodial parent, and he did pay child support and college tuition for her and her sister. She lives in a state that is on the atlantic seaboard.

Funny you should post this. Just this weekend we discovered a very disturbing myspace account for a local kid who goes to our church and his family has been friends of my family for as many years as I can remember. It's very disturbing. Goes with us to Winterfest each year with the youth group, but has been changing in the past few years. Lots of foul language on his site. Admits he doesn't believe in God. Very much a supporter of the gay lifestyle, although he says he isn't gay. Very, Very disturbing. His mom is going through a lot and I was approached by someone who found this info too and now wants to do something about it, like talk with his mom. The mom has recently gone through a divorce and is in a horrible place emotionally. It's all such a mess. I've spend the better part of this afternoon and evening thinking about all this.
I'm with you, totally at a loss of what to do.
Parents of teens need a class on this IMHO--most of them have NO idea it's even out there. With kids this age it's such a sensitive situation--but some parent needs to know it's out there--and how to deal with it. (I also think teens put stuff they don't really mean on myspace--they just put it out for acceptance and shock value for their peers.)

Um, if I were her dad, I'd lovingly approach her and try to make things right with her.

Maybe I am being too harsh on her but if she is in college she should be considered an adult and should be expected to act like one. Doesn't sound like she is getting too much out of the Christian College environment and perhaps Daddy should reconsider paying tuition for someone who is learning to drink, do drugs and shoplift from Wal-mart. Perhaps it is just a case of trying to fit in by writing what she thinks others want to read, I will pray for you, your husband and his daughter, that this will work out.
